An early morning
bus ride to the WWOS complex started off my day. When I say early morning, I mean 8:00am.
Today’s game with the Nets taking on the Bucks starts at 1:30pm so 8:00am is
considered early morning, at least to most television people. I love games that are played early. I am an early riser so I would just as soon
get my work out of the way then have the rest of the day off. I am clearly in
the minority here.
Remember earlier
how I ripped on the Nets and Wizards and Kings about not belonging here at the
restart? Today, the Nets ended up
beating the Bucks. Had the Bucks won,
they would have secured “home court advantage” for the Eastern Conference
Playoffs. I put that in quotes because
will anyone really have a home court advantage? Everyone calls this place home
for the upcoming months. They will
receive the number one seed but hardly a home court advantage.
Milwaukee decided
to rest their starters all or most of the second half, so Brooklyn took
advantage of that and led most of the game walking away with a surprise
win. Why Milwaukee didn’t play to win I
don’t know, but then again I am not the coach, I am a camera operator. I am sure there is some sort of strategy
here, but I like to win as much as possible.
The game and the
day had nothing out of the ordinary. Day
becomes night, night becomes day, day becomes night, etc. At least that is what is starting to occur
now. However, on the bus back to the
resort, there was a great deal of lightning in the distance, and as we
disembarked from the bus, thunder was audible at a pretty consistent rate. The lightning increased, the thunder grew
louder, and I was looking forward to a nice downpour during this late
afternoon. It never happened. Lots of
thunder, lots of lightning, not much wind, and no rain.
